Turning a passion for creating ceramics into a business at my own pace
Ceramics became my main hobby almost 20 years ago when we turned one bay of our garage into a pottery studio, allowing me to work in clay outside of the classes I was taking at the local community college. For the next few years I created and gave away many cups, bowls and other items that were taking up more and more space in my studio. When I participated in a few pottery sales events, I found out that others appreciated my talents and would actually pay to take something home - yes!! Unfortunately, having far too many migraines kept me from doing very many of these kinds of events, so my created items once again started to take over available space. I started wondering about online sales and at that point found out about Etsy. Etsy is a great fit for me, since I get to stay at home and still have contact with the rest of the world, whether or not I have a headache. :)
A few years ago we decided to build my dream studio and free up the garage space I was taking, so now I have a wonderful place to create in! Everything to do with Etsy is done by me, so this adventure has taught me many new skills (photographic, sales, marketing, +) and will continue to stretch me, I'm certain. My husband is a great handyman, so between us my studio keeps chugging along. :)
Thanks for checking me out!

Owner, Creator, Photographer
I've been playing with clay for over 20 years now. The first 5 years were spent at Sierra College, our local Community College. I spent the last 2 years there working as the Ceramics Technician, which taught me at least as much as the classes I took.
I fire my ceramics in an electric kiln to about 2200 deg F (cone 6), making them strong and water-tight. All of my glazes are lead free and food safe, unless stated otherwise. The food safe ceramics are also dishwasher and microwave safe.

Refunds and Exchanges
You may find that the item is not the exact color you expected. I try to photograph it to get the best color match possible, but there may be some difference when you receive the actual item. If this happens to you with other items you buy online as well, try adjusting your monitor settings. If you are less than pleased with the item when you receive it, you may return it for exchange credit or a refund and I'll pay 1/2 of the total cost of shipping.
