Hello everyone, for now I have decided to not have an active shop.
I still love to buy things here on Etsy though, so will keep my account open--and perhaps I may change my mind about offering my wares again.

Thank you again Kathy! Always a pleasure to receive the beautiful soaps you make. Love the fragrance, and how the creamy natural soap makes my skin feel. Such a cute fun design too. I always receive wonderful service and excellent products, and I highly recommend Kathy's work. Thank you again for the extras too.

About

Kathyinozarks Creative Fibers

Our new home here in Missouri was a fix er upper-so my creativity took me to faux walls, and setting rocks in mortar to make hearths, walls, and my rock shower.
These projects stimulated my creativity that had been suppressed during my working career.
I got into quilting using reclaimed denim and cotton clothing. I explored hand dyes with rust objects, with mimosa, goldenrod, and walnuts that I had collected in my woods. I learned about flower pounding gathering spring flowers and greens and turning the fabric into pillows.
When I first heard about Etsy I thought why not? Sounds fun and a shop to share my creative works.
So, I have added many different items since the opening of my shop that I have created-hand dyed cloth, quilts, pillows, sachets, also vintage finds like quilt tops, and supplies such as buttons and organic cotton batting.
I am bringing back my handmade soaps and bath products, including herbal salves and balms. I had set up an etsy shop just for soaps but decided to bring it back here to my original shop so everything I create will be in one place. I learned that customers for my soap did not know of my fiber shop and customers of my hand dyed items did not know of my handmade soap.
My shop changes and grows with me; as I explore new things to create with fibers, soaps and herbs, or find supplies and vintage to share.

I am retired and living in the woods here in the ozarks of Missouri. We love it here, beautiful land, fishing, hunting, and all those "Mother Earth" things I enjoy doing.

Now I have time to explore my creative side; hand dyes, making soap, quilting, etc. I love to recycle and use reclaimed materials when ever possible.
My fibers of choice are cottons, wool, organic when possible, mostly the natural fibers.

I started this little shop to hopefully share my creativity with you, so I can indulge myself and create more.
