Hi! Welcome to Kati Andi, formerly Home Sewn Rose!
I am a self-taught sewist, who is passionate about turning reclaimed materials into functional, beautiful fashion accessories, and home decor items. Each piece that I create is a unique, one-of-a-kind item that evolves from the individual fabric’s design and size. I love giving recycled materials a new life because each project is different and requires me to respond to and learn from a variety of fabrics.
I first started sewing after purchasing a 1960 Kenmore machine off of Craigslist, following the birth of my oldest son. A trip to FabMo a few years later sparked my interest in fabric recycling. Today, a mother of three boys, I enjoy using my background in graphic design to build my creative skills in sewing, painting, and drawing.
Please look around and if there is something different you would like to see, please feel free to let me know.
**10% of your purchase total (excluding shipping and sales tax) will be donated to Hamilton Families in San Francisco. These donations will help support San Francisco’s broader goal of ending long-term family homelessness. If you would like more information on the nonprofit please visit https://hamiltonfamilies.org/
