Ik ben Katia Ramdas, een milieubewuste Canadese kunstenares die mixed media-kunst maakt, geïnspireerd op de natuur. Mijn werk begint in mijn omgeving en de natuur, waar ik materialen verzamel zoals bladeren, dennenappels en veren en deze combineer met alledaagse, door de mens gemaakte objecten. Ik gebruik deze materialen om de achtergronden, lagen en texturen in mijn kunstwerken te creëren.
In mijn Etsy-winkel vind je kleinere producten met mijn originele kunstwerken, zoals handgemaakte houten boekenleggers en onderzetters. Elk stuk wordt in mijn atelier gemaakt en brengt de texturen, afbeeldingen en inspiratie van mijn kunstwerken over in iets dat je elke dag kunt gebruiken en waarvan je kunt genieten.
Ik hoop dat mijn werk mensen aanmoedigt om het rustiger aan te doen en de schoonheid van de natuur, die ons elke dag te bieden heeft, te waarderen.

I’m Katia Ramdas, an eco-conscious Canadian artist creating wildlife-inspired mixed media art. My work begins with my surroundings and the natural world, gathering materials such as leaves, pinecones and feathers and combining them with everyday, man-made objects. I use these materials to create the backgrounds, layers and textures within my artwork.
My Etsy shop is a place to find smaller pieces featuring my original artwork, including handmade wooden bookmarks and coasters. Each piece is made in my studio and brings the textures, imagery and inspiration of my artwork into something you can use and enjoy every day.
My hope is for my work to encourage people to slow down and appreciate the beauty nature offers us everyday.
