About

Paper Is Love <3

Hello world! I'm Katie, a Nottingham based designer maker specialising in unique origami jewellery and sculpture, all made using recycled and reclaimed paper.

As a child I was fascinated by books, stories and papers, and during my time at University this interest developed into a passion. I graduated in 2011 with a BA(Hons) in Decorative Arts, specialising in paper manipulation, and continue to create unique pieces of wearable art and sculpture.

Where does your paper come from?

All of my materials are unwanted or destined for pulping - no treasured books were harmed in the making of my jewellery!

I collect my materials from a variety of sources including local charities, who usually have to pay to dispose of old unwanted books.
