Passion and curiosity

My name is Patricia but everybody called me Pati. I born in Spain, in this little islands called canary islands in 1988. Ive been so creative since i was a kid, my favorite subject in school was visual arts.

I started crafting in my grandmas house. She taugh me almost everything i know. I started sewing this little piece of fabrics learning the basic stitches and spending every afternoon watching my grandma making the most amazing cross- stitch pictures. She lived near my house so i was visiting her every day. She taugh me how to cross stitch when i learned how to sew.

When i had 12 years old i was making some bracelets in macrame and little brooches and dolls, because i love the process of creating them.

Later in my 16 i started selling them to people i know and some friends, macrame was fun and easy to make for me. The hours passed so fast when i was creating them and my mind was calm at the same time.

Then i when to live with my grandma, she was so happy and i could learn a lot things more from her. I saw in flickr, this little animals called amigurumi and at the age of 19 i started my path making them. i started by myself but my grandma taught me some curious things and when i found myself in trouble she just helped me. Today im 25 and im still doing them, creating some fun stuff to sell or just for me.

Later i keep making dolls just for me, not for sale, because i loved them and still do. Creating my own patterns and very influenced by the kawaii movement from japan. I was making some plushies to sell in my etsy, with curious forms and cute styles. I loved it.

Then i started making nuigurumis and playing with polymer clay... I have passion and curiosity about everything craft. I learned how to make some mascots in wool, using the needle felting technique.

In July 2012 my grandma died of cancer, and i started to learn knitting because she never taugh me that and i believed that i needed to learn the basics all by myself. I did it...thinking that i never did my grandma a scarf, like the ones she used. I was so sad.

Since my doctor diagnosed me borderline personality disorder ive been a very sad person and this craft have helped me to be more, to stay calm and feel safe.

To end my story, i have to tell you that my grandma was a great seamstress, and she could teach me how to make clothes so in September 2013 im starting my professional studies about it. I know she would be very happy for me!

This is a little of my story, i hope it helps to know me better, to see that everything that i make its unique and is make with all my heart.

Thanks for visiting my shop, encouraging me to follow crafting and making cute things and learning from all other crafters.
