I love our notecards! They are perfect
Taking something old (vintage botanical prints) and turning into something new (invitations, cards, and personal stationery).
I had in my mind that I wanted to work from home, as I neared the stage of starting a family. I began my etsy shop after leaving my previous job doing product design. That was where I grew to love vintage botanical prints. I was always thinking that there had to be something I could do with these beautiful works of art. My first idea was to create greeting cards, and that evolved into my main business of wedding invitations. I am now back in my home state of beautiful Michigan where I get to raise my baby girl, Sylvie, near family and also have an amazing job creating stationery for so many nice people. I really love what I do, and I am so blessed to be able to say that!
Owner, Designer, Crafter, Photographer, Shipper
A quote by Elsie de Wolfe- "I'm going to make everything around me beautiful- that will be my life." It makes me happy to make beautiful things, and I am so blessed to have the chance to do that everyday.
All stationery from my shop is made from my home in Grand Rapids, MI. All of my stationery begins with a vintage print, paper and envelopes from a local supplier. From there, I design invitations, greeting cards, and other types of stationery; I believe I am giving a new life to vintage works of art.
My crafting and shipping process is:
-I find / buy vintage botanical prints that are available for public use
-I use Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop to create my designs. Sometimes I use the vintage print as is, and sometimes I manipulate it a bit.
-Then I print using a professional level inkjet printer.
-Next I cut and fold each piece by hand
-I package neatly and carefully using kraft paper and plastic wrapping
I also photograph all items in my shop. I use natural outdoor light when photographing my stationery as to get the truest color possible. Nonetheless, please allow for slight variations as computer screens may alter the hues slightly.
-Because printers and monitors vary, I cannot be responsible for color variation with this option.
-All of the images I use are vintage. That being said, I print them often and am happy with the quality of the print. I recommend doing a test print for all digital orders to make sure you are happy with everything.
