Beautiful handmade cups. They arrived very well and safely packed with me together with a personal message and information about cleaning. Fast shipping. Very warm contact. Thank you very much. ♡
Kayu Ceramics is ceramics for the soul. For me, it is the combination of tradition, culture and home.
With a lot of love and care, ceramic objects are created with which I would like to pass on my joy and enthusiasm for them to you and bring them to your home.
Fundamental is the gentle and conscious use of materials that are carefully processed for each ceramic piece. The simple design and the natural materials, such as clay and wood ash, create timeless ceramics. This reflects the love for nature.
Each piece of ceramic goes through a lengthy process in which each step is carried out carefully. Manual work is time-consuming and requires patience, which, however, pays off again through the joy of ceramics and their longevity.

What I love so much about manual work is being able to see and touch the result at the end, with all its structures and levels. It fulfills me and makes me appreciate how much time and work has been put into something.

Frequently asked questions
What materials do you use?Clay as a base material and raw materials such as feldspar and wood ash for the glaze are used in my work.Where do the materials you use come from?I get my sound without an intermediary from the Westerwald in Germany. My raw materials used are from Germany, Austria and France. My wood ash is partly 'homemade' and partly sourced from the high forest.
What do I have to consider when using the products?Ceramics:Each ceramic piece is fired at 1250°C and is therefore waterproof. The glazes are lead-free, food-safe and dishwasher safe. Nevertheless, it is advantageous to wash the ceramic by hand, as this is gentler. Do not expose the ceramic to extreme temperature fluctuations, as this could lead to cracking.Wooden elements:The wooden elements can be gently wiped with a damp cloth for cleaning. Please avoid soaking the product in water or storing it in damp rooms. If necessary, the wooden element can be reground after some time and oiled with olive oil.
