My name is Kim and I’ve been painting all my life. I started my painting career predominantly with watercolors and eventually fell in love with oils. I enjoy painting a variety of subjects and certainly can’t say that I have one particular subject or style. Over the past few years, I’ve started plein air painting which I can’t get enough of. Hiking and discovering new places has always been a passion of mine so I can frequently be found cruisin’ around with my travel easel and art pack. I’ve been an equestrian all my life as well so it’s no wonder horses are a recurring theme in my work.

Nature and wellness are at the core of all that I do and I strive reflect that ethos in my work. As a kid I was always digging in the dirt, playing "make-believe", riding horses and painting. Today, you can still find me playing in the dirt, foraging for culinary mushrooms in the forest, practicing yoga in the mornings, riding horses on the weekends and painting anything I can get my hands on. I'm also currently a graduate student working towards my master's in nutrition, integrative health and herbal medicine.

I’m deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to show in some amazing local galleries including the Crocker Art Museum in their “Big Name, Small Art” showcase (2020, 2021). Some of my smaller works are currently on showcase at Not Too Shabby in Historic Folsom. Stay tuned for new show updates! ​
