Just a girl and a paint brush

Thank you for visiting my shop! I hope you have enjoyed looking around. I look forward to adding new items soon.
Like most kids, I began playing with watercolors at an early age. Remember the Crayola watercolor set that came with its own brush? The paint by numbers with acrylics? And if I could catch an episode of Bob Ross, it was really a great day! During my middle school years my parents gave me a set of 'real' watercolors - the kind that came in tubes - and I began experimenting and developing my skills. I fell in love with watercolor and it became my medium of choice. I painted consistently into my early twenties, until life became too distracting to devote time to it. I would occasionally become inspired by something and break out my paints again, loving the process of drawing and building the layers of color into something beautiful. It saddened me that I couldn't seem to integrate this artistic love into my life.
Now in my late thirties, I have made room in my life to pursue my passion. As a wife, mother of two beautiful girls, and CPA, it's all about being deliberate in how I spend my time. We're each given the same 24 hours everyday; it's up to each of us to make sure it counts. Yes, I've had to give up some things, mainly the security of a full time job, but the quality of life that has blossomed from making that leap has been amazing! I feel like I have started down a new and refreshing path and I'm looking forward to seeing where it will lead.

Philippians 4:8 - Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.

Frequently asked questions
How is my item packaged?

All prints are packaged with an archival backing board, and then enclosed in a sealed archival sleeve, which is designed to protect it from any moisture that it may encounter from my studio to your home. This is sandwiched between 2 pieces of cardboard to provide more rigidity to the package and to protect the edges of the print/mat.

Do you provide gift wrapping?

Just let me know the occasion you're celebrating and I'll select a paper to fit! I am happy to include a special note from you to the gift recipient; just include it in your message to me.
