The shop just started as a Blog, with the plan to make it into a business once my children headed off to school. My life has continued to stay busy but I have moved my business more to the foreground as they are getting older.

Maybe it is the years growing up seeing my mom sew and then having her teach me. Maybe it was just playing with the different types of materials she had like silk, cotton, polyester and firs that have made me really enjoy the world of Fiber Art (Sewing, Dyeing, Crafting, Felting). I had grown up in a home full of the traditional almost pioneer life where cooking on the fire place was done during the winter with wood that my dad brought home and chopped and cut, socks were darned while sitting and watching TV by the fire place. Christmas brought at least a bit of hand made clothing and one time a pile of wood that was to be turned into a night stand. The gift of learning to sew was something that I fought sometimes but once I got the hang of it I was very happy to have it. My mom taught me not to be afraid of the ripper and to do the best job you can on an item that you are making. She also taught me to try new things and I have continued to be open to doing that.

I have loved the world of Fiber Art and the great feeling of seeing my work around different places. It is truly rewarding when I think of the people who have honoured me by buying item or liked items enough to let me know by clicking like or favorite my shop.
