About

Once upon a time...

...there was a girl (Melanie) who loved all things art, especially pottery. She worked really hard for a long time and saved up the money and bought a kiln, often referred to as Pele. It resides in Melanie's mini-studio, not far from her pottery wheel, Wheelomena. Together, they create individual and unique works of pottery art. Melanie, the clay thrower, believes that pottery can be beautiful and functional while bringing artwork into the daily lives of others.

It's always so hard to write about me... so let's go with: I'm an artist that loves pottery and photography, although life has allowed me to choose pottery as my mainstay in creativity. I'm not a production potter, so everything I make is unique.
