About

Traditional meets Contemporary Fiber Arts

Our family shop has been slowly snowballing into a Rug Hooking Supply store for the past few years while we have both been in and out of various college adventures as a way to bring in some extra income and have fun with materials and colors at the same time.

Hayley is a fine art, abstract painter by trade, having gained her master's degree a couple of years ago. She has always used her interest in design and her family's past with rug hooking as a means to explore fiber craft, but it wasn't until this year that she seriously began designing her own rugs, patterns and kits for others.

It's been a challenging and rewarding process to change from paint to fiber medium. Painting, which is still very much a part of her life, is like doing a very difficult math equation, where rug hooking is a way to unwind and relax. Both practices work the brain in different ways.

Sharon is the one who has been rug hooking the longest (over 20 years) and has basically taught Hayley everything she needs to know about the crafting process. Without her, there would be no rug hooking since she introduced this fiber art to the family.

Adam has a background in IT studies and fine art photography. Without him, we would not have any product photos, no banners, websites, basically anything, since he's such an instrumental part of having an online business.

We are proud to bring you the best quality, hand cut woolens, patterns, kits, etc. that we possibly can!

Payment
I currently accept all forms of payment (paypal, credit card, etsy gift card, mail order checks). I expect to have electronic payment within 2 days of purchase or else the sale will be canceled. I will, of course, wait longer for payments made via personal check or money order.
Shipping
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: There are times when you may be charged a duty fee from your country for buying international goods. Please be sure to check with your local customs office for rules and fees regarding these custom dues. I can not devalue or mark "as gift." Any custom dues associated with international purchases are the responsibility of the buyer.

ANOTHER NOTE: I will refund any shipping over charges that are three dollars or more.

I take time to make your package as lovely as possible. Just let me know if your item is a gift because I do offer free gift wrapping.

I always strive to get orders out the door within 2-3 working days (Sundays and holidays excluded). Handmade rugs will be made within 4 weeks and shipped within 2-3 days after production time. Other custom orders will vary in production time depending on how complicated they are, of course.

All orders will be sent via First Class USPS mail. Orders over $100 or 13 oz will be sent priority mail. International orders will be sent, most likely, via First Class mail, but these prices fluctuate often. Contact me if you have any questions about shipping!
I buy insurance for international orders and orders over 70 dollars.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you have ANY issue with the product itself, please let me know. I strive to satisfy every customer!

Please note that colors vary on different computer monitors. If you need an exact color match, it's a better idea to email me or send me a swatch so I can match it for you. I do this for customers all the time!

Item returns are accepted for a full product refund, but must be unopened, untorn, and unused. It is the buyer's responsibility to pay for return shipping, and I cannot refund initial purchase shipping.

Custom rug, patterns, or kits can not be returned for refund, unfortunately. If you order a custom design from me, I do my best to keep you informed and get your approval (by sending photos and proofs) before the product gets to you so we can make changes prior to it's arrival to you. Custom wool orders can usually be returned (as long as I can reuse the wool).

If you have any questions about the product itself, please see above or contact me.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about our rug hooking products!

I can usually fulfill custom orders if requested, i.e. if you'd like a certain size/color or wool, or more of one color than I have advertised. I am capable of cutting number 6 and number 8 sized strips.

I love fulfilling custom pattern and kit requests. I am capable of drawing any pattern on monks cloth or burlap.
