About

My first experience with paint was a disaster.

I hated it. I cried because I hated it so much. Full disclosure: I was in elementary school and they gave me a flimsy piece of printer paper and a set of those oval shaped watercolor paints with a brush that shed all its hairs the first time it touched water. I was supposed to paint some lovely little trees - I ended up with a wrinkled sheet of muddy brown stripes. Lesson learned, painting is a from of cruel and unusual punishment, and it’s a good thing I’m no good at it because I HATE it!

Or so I thought…

Many moons later my creative fairy godmother (a woman of incredible talent with a penchant for coral lipstick and electric blue mascara) introduced me to the color filled universe of Vincent van Gogh. I was smitten. With infinite patience and the proper supplies she encouraged me to give painting another go. Something clicked and the painting bug bit. My painterly soul was born.

I’ve since explored a variety of creative fields, from design and illustration, to photography and floral design. But no matter where my curiosity wanders, my heart and soul belong to paint, and it is a never ending joy to send my work out into the world to be enjoyed by others!

Frequently asked questions

Can you paint *insert your idea*?

Yes! I LOVE to create custom work and collaborate on difficult to explain ideas. Message me and we’ll chat :D

Do I need to frame my watercolor painting?

Yes. Watercolor paintings are light and moisture sensitive. Display all artwork away from direct sunlight and/or frame with UV glass which is readily available from your local frame shop.
