The history of KnKDesigns
Ogni prodotto KnK Designs è progettato e realizzato da me nel mio studio in California.
La mia laurea in Design Ambientale presso la UC Davis mi ha insegnato a vedere con occhi creativi. Ho trascorso anni come interior designer professionista lavorando commercialmente per uno studio di architettura e poi per me stesso come interior designer residenziale.
Cucio da oltre 40 anni (yikes!) e trapunto da 17 anni. Presiedo un capitolo locale di Quilts for Kids, Inc. e lo faccio dal 2008. Ho realizzato centinaia di trapunte per bambini con malattie potenzialmente letali che hanno bisogno di una trapunta comfort. È da questa esperienza che mi sono davvero innamorata dell'arte del quilting. Tuttavia, il processo di creazione di un'intera unione superfici può essere lungo e arduo. Per me, fare cuscini è un ottimo modo per rimanere in contatto con la mia macchina da cucire senza avere una lunga relazione!

My Environmental Design degree from UC Davis has taught me to see with creative eyes. I spent years as a professional interior designer working commercially for an architecture firm and then later for myself as a residential interior designer.
I have been sewing for over 40 years (yikes!) and quilting for 17 years. I chair a local chapter of Quilts for Kids, Inc. and have since 2008. I have made hundreds of quilts for children with life threatening diseases in need of a comfort quilt. It is from this experience that I really fell in love with the art of quilting. However, the process of making an entire quilt can be quilt lengthy and arduous. For me, making pillows is a great way to keep in touch with my sewing machine without having a long affair!
