I like these darling covers every bit as much as much as I adore my vintage skillets and pots. They're totally practical, too. If you cook with cast iron, you need these.

If you like cast iron, these are a must! The color is rich, and looks so nice in the kitchen. Happy, happy!!

What to do with all this wool?

Knit Around the House began at the point where I decided I was going to branch out beyond scarves and blankets. I started to teach myself new techniques and patterns.

The first item I made got so many compliments that it was just a great boost to my confidence in making items. This led me to decide that I would attempt the one thing that all the knitters I've known said to avoid - socks. Horror stories of how difficult socks were along with a showing of all the needles required put me off to these perplexing things at a young age... but no more! I began by using a basic ankle sock pattern and flew through it. By the time I was working on the second sock I decided that I would make more. I made a pair for myself, I made a pair for my husband and we both wore those socks all winter long.

Then it happened, I somehow had ended up with massive quantities of wool. There were coupons involved and many husband-craft store dragging days. Faced with this overflow I wrote a sock pattern more to my taste and got to work on the now binned wool.

This is just the beginning. I don't know what other fun projects are out there just waiting for me to discover them, but I do know that they will only add to the items I already enjoy making.

I've been knitting for almost twenty-five years, ever since my mother taught me at a young age. I'm truly proud to have even gotten a place in my school yearbook under the strangest thing you've seen someone doing - knitting!

I make cute, comfortable, unique items to share with others.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
I accept PayPal as my only method of payment. Buyers can pay with credit and debit card without signing up for an account with PayPal. A brief explanation on how:

"You can choose the PayPal Option during checkout. After you submit your order click the "Pay Now" button. Scroll Down and you will see the option to pay with a Credit or Debit Card WITHOUT having to sign up for a PayPal account."

Items will be sent only after payment has been received.

I expect payment to be made within 3 days of purchase. If you cannot make payment within this time, please contact me. I would appreciate an estimate of the time you expect to pay within.

If there is no payment or communication from a buyer, items will be relisted after 2 weeks. At this time I will assume non-payment and may choose to leave negative feedback on a non-payer's profile.

Please feel free to contact me with any additional questions you may have regarding payment.
Items will now ship on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I have paired up with another shop, Offbeat Vintage, in order to provide lower cost shipping. This does not change the previous time that orders typically shipped (1-3 business days) but it does mean that if you order on a Friday or Saturday your order will not be shipped until the following Tuesday, three business days from order.

I ship items within 3 business days via USPS. USPS estimated shipping is 3-5 business days for domestic packages. If you need an item shipped quicker feel free to message me before ordering so that we can calculate cost of shipping for a faster method.

I do my best to make sure that items will reach international buyers, however I cannot control the delivery of the package once it leaves my hands. I fill out international customs forms accurately and legibly before they are sent off through the United States Postal Service. Any fees incurred thereafter are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Due to the nature and value of the items in my shop, I do not feel it is necessary to offer shipping insurance.
Refunds and Exchanges
Each item is new and inspected before it is shipped. Every effort is made to properly represent size and color within the listing.

Please contact me via email or Etsy conversation if you feel that you need to return your item for any reason. Items can be returned within 3 days of receiving the item. Returns must be in new and unused condition to be returned. All return postage is to be paid by the buyer.
