About

Knitley Road

I learned to knit from my maternal, Italian grandmother when I was young. I struggled with it and put down the needles for many years. I've picked up the needles again and have jumped right in!

I started knitting simple scarves as gifts; then friends started having babies and I learned to knit baby cardigans. I got comfortable with baby items and started knitting hats and cowls. I realized I loved the process of knitting, creating something from sticks and strings and that I was buying more and more yarn (and running out of room)!

Knitley Road became a way for me to share my love of knitting with the world. I treasured the knit items made for me and I hope Knitley Road customers will do the same.

I've become entranced by the pattern-writing process; my ultimate goal is to write a sweater pattern.

I run Knitley Road entirely; knitting, photographing, listing, and marketing the shop on social media. I've partnered with other artisans with some of my knitting kits and I love the collaboration it brings.

Knitley Road is currently in production. Knitley Road will offer hand knit accessories, keeping you warm and stylish!

I learned to knit from my Italian Grandmother (Nonna) when I was very young. She taught me the basics; I picked up the needles again a few years ago and was eager to take on more complicated patterns. It fascinates me that such beautiful and intricate designs can be made from- on a very basic level- string and sticks!

Armed with my stitch dictionary and luxurious yarn, my goal is to create unique and beautiful knit pieces, sharing my love for hand-knit items with you.

Many Knitley Road items feature beautiful yarn made in Italy, as an ode to my Italian heritage.

While I love yarn, beautiful paper also has a special place in my heart.
