I am descended from knitters and dog lovers.

I've been knitting since I was 5 years old, and I've had dogs since birth. At my other shop, KnitYourDog, you can see the amazing articles I make from chiengora, which is wool that is handspan from dog hair fiber. But I love to knit with conventional fibers as well, and I love to create fun hats and accessories to keep you warm, whether you're out walking the dog (as I often am) or you're in the dog house... To me, hats should be as fun, as whimsical, and as full of love as the pups I adore. Clearly, my models love them too. I hope the photos truly convey not just how much fun I have making this items, but also how much fun we have bringing them to you and the love that goes into them.

And now, for a bit of "it's a small world" confusion: our website is doghouseknits.com, which should not be confused with DoghouseKnits here on Etsy. Pamela makes lovely knitted accessories for hounds and their humans that are very different from what I offer here. Please do look up her shop, though; she's a tireless supporter of greyhound rescue and her items are wonderful! I particularly love the hound-headed Christmas stockings!
