Lovely buttons which arrived incredibly quickly. Great to find a natural product made in uk so fewer miles travelled. Thank you.

Woodenware made by hand using traditional methods
I started carving spoons in the winter of 2008; in 2015 I built my own pole lathe and began learning to turn wood as well. I often do voluntary conservation work, which keeps me in a fairly regular supply of local wood. Friends and family also let me know if they or someone they know is having some tree work done too!
Both carving and wood-turning are traditional crafts. While there are only a few full-time professionals today, I’m proud to be amongst a growing group of people practicing and developing these crafts in their spare time, and a member of the Association of Polelathe Turners & Greenwood Workers.
After a few years of selling at local craft fairs I decided early in 2017 to reach out to a wider audience by starting my Etsy Shop. As my making is dependent on time and available wood, having my items online means there is always something available, and I’m not working simply to meet the date of the next fair.
Why KnivesFoxSpoons? Knives are an essential tool in my work, my surname is Fox, and spoons were where I started in green wood working!
I've got a life-long love of woodland and the outdoors and began carving spoons ten years ago. I also enjoy volunteer conservation work - a great way to enjoy the outdoors and often a source of my raw material - fresh wood!
