I ordered this 13 days ahead of an out of town trip where my dog would be in the house and didn't want someone to accidentally let her out. It did not come in time. Now it's useless to me. The note attached to the shipping notification with no tracking information said there would be an additional free sign for the delay in shipping, which would also be of no use, even if I had received it or any information to claim it.

While I regret that your sign didn't come on time, it was shipped within the promised three days of your order. It's a bit unfair to pin USPS delays on KnobNots, particularly when no effort was made to contact us when the order was already a week late. Tracking information is an additional expense to us which would force us to increase our prices. We would be happy to work with you to rectify your dissatisfaction, but as you said in your vivid review, it may not be of use to you now. That said, perhaps there's another sign you would like as a gift for someone else? We try to work and play well with others.

About

Traffic Stopping Dogs Lead to Safety Signs and a Holiday!

A dog lover, whatever its ancestry, I especially appreciate the legacy and heritage of purebred dogs, some so rare that they're outnumbered by Panda Bears. As a Puli owner, I became concerned that my then-young children might leave a door open and allow our dogs to escape. How on earth was I going to describe a corded Puli to the average person on the street while I frantically searched for my dogs?

My solution was to prevent escapes in the first place with bright yellow door knob reminders to KEEP THE DOOR CLOSED! The signs also worked to alert visitors of a pet on the other side of the door. The signs not only worked, but soon friends were asking for signs in their own breeds. A small business was born.

I've heard from customers who've written to say how much the signs have helped make their lives easier. No more hours spent combing the neighborhood for the family pet. No more tears and anguish over a lost cat or dog. No more startled visitors.

A natural off-shoot of these signs was BabyKnobNots, door signs worded to help keep the peace while the baby sleeps. No more doorbells disturbing a nap, no more dogs barking AT the doorbell and waking up the little one.

I'm a writer by profession who's written for a nationally televised dog show, PBS, the AKC and Woofipedia, Dogs in Review, Dog Fancy, Dogs in Canada, the AKC GAZETTE, Showsight, Sight and Scent, and others. My blog is at www. DogKnobit.com where I write about dog issues from the perspective of a fancier. I'm also the creator of National Purebred Dog Day which celebrates the heritage, diversity and predictability of purpose bred dogs.
