Yarns, hooks, indigo blue, antique boro fabrics and many more - Let's make something :)
Hello, I am Hiromi. Welcome to KOBO H.
“KOBO (koh boh)” means studio in Japanese and an initial H from my name, Hiromi. KOBO H is my art/craft studio to share things that I love and created by my hands using yarns, boro (Japanese antique fabrics), crochet, felt and more.
Born in Shizuoka, Japan, famous for Mt. Fuji and green tea. I was a kid who loved creating things with yarns, fabrics and threads. I rather read books at home or visiting my neighbor who thought me how to hand sew than playing outside with other kids. I was a very introvert kid.
1999, I moved to Washington USA to go to a community college for 2 years. One of my big surprises after I moved was people here admired and appreciated traditional Japanese art and culture more than any Japanese I knew including me. My handmade life came back.
My hope is to share a sense of connection as a creative community with many happy faces. Please enjoy this little space to slow down and relax, have some good time.
Nice to meet you, thanks for stopping by.
