Hi, nice to see you here!

I'm Anna, the entrepreneur of Korpiaho Design living in Finland in Northern Europe. It's been almost 10 years since I discovered ceramics, or maybe clay discovered me. At that time my new friend took me to a pottery to try wheel throwing. I was so excited by the experience I started to explore the possibilities for studying ceramics right away.

I joined the next ceramic class possible in a local adult education center and applied for a vocational school a month later. I started my studies in the beginning of 2015. I completed a vocational upper secondary qualification in crafts and arts and graduated as an artisan of ceramics.

Nowadays I run my small business at my own ceramic studio making ceramic art and functional pottery. All my ceramics is designed and handcrafted by me personally. My functional pottery is high fired and durable stoneware. In my artwork I often like to play and experiment with different kinds of alternative firing techniques. I take my endless inspiration from nature, animals and human beings.
