Stunning products....bold practical designs..... all handcrafted or hand painted in Kenya

I was born in Tanzania and then spent some of my teenage years living in Kenya with my family. Moving back here from the UK, in 2008, with my husband and two young boys - really felt like we were just coming home.

The wild beauty of East Africa and the friendliness and innate creativity of the Kenyan people serve as a constant inspiration. The bold landscapes and colours of Africa - combined with my desire for all things practical and useful are what drive my business forward. I like products that work. I like products that can be used and enjoyed day to day - whilst at the same time are fun and colourful and beautiful - be they on the breakfast table, your desk at work or in the kitchen. Much of this philosophy drives design ideas.

Over time, the Krafty ArtZ workshop has built up to include a genuinely talented group of local Kenyan men and women who are responsible for turning designs into products. I particularly value the input, thoughts and opinions of my Workshop Manager, Henry Nyambuto, Artist, Stephen Mutinda & Craftsman, Vereso Tadayo - in my design ideas as they will help me tweak designs so that they work not only for the customer but also for those presented with the task of making them, painting them and decorating them.
