A nicely hand crafted pendant
Turned my fun hobby into a small business
I've been playing with beads, well, really, creating with beads, since I was 12 years old, always creating fun gifts for friends and family. I never really thought much past that until my very young daughter needed me home with her. So, I gave up my full-time career as a professional photographer to be home with my gorgeous girl. Not being able to have much 'me' time, I turned to my beads once again. This time, without my full-time photography career taking up my creativity, or my music career for that matter, I was able to fully focus on the beads.
I am completely self taught and I don't take directions or instructions very well... lol. Typical artist type I suppose. I was never very good at following instructions, so most of my Ikea furnishings are well... quite creative looking to put it mildly.
I never get an artistic block when it comes to jewelry design. My problem is the opposite, where I have way too many ideas coming at me 24-7 and grabbing onto a few is difficult, but, can be done!
I'm absolutely thrilled each and everytime someone makes a purchase with me. I do have OCD when it comes to creating pieces that are durable and beautiful, so with that in mind, I do have a garbage bin at my side by my work table, and it is almost always quite full of wire. I suspect maybe I've thrown out quite a few pieces that people would appreciate, but if it's not absolutely perfect and flawless, then out it goes.
As far as the Kranberry Kricket business goes... my priority is to my customer first. I am so tired of people just out to make a buck or two, and yes I know the economy is crappy... but we still need to keep our integrity and treat each other well. I have extensive training in customser service, and was actually a CSR for quite sometime with a major international company, so I do have some pretty high standards of what I expect when I'm buying something from a shop, so I fully have those expectations of myself when someone is buying from me. You will always get a response to your questions within 24 hours from me, usually within an hour or two. And if there's something you like but need some answers first, I will hold the item for you until you have your answers, just so it doesn't sell out from under you during our corrspondence. This has happened to me personally a few times, and it can be quite heartbreaking.
The Kranberry Kricket is retailing in local shops in Guelph Ontario called The 9th Vibration and The Octave Music Centre. If you live in the area be sure to drop in!
Anyway, that's about it for my story folks! Lemme know if you have any questions or comments! XOXO

Please note, if I have contacted you after you have placed your order, to confirm your address, or your order, and I do not receive a response from you within 3 business days, I will cancel your order. All orders are shipped via Canada Post.
National Shipping within Canada -
I ship with tracking to all Canadian customers. I will contact you to let you know your package has been shipped, and to give you your tracking number. Typically, all major cities receive their packages within 2-5 business days, depending on how far you are from Guelph, ON. For example, all cities in the area, including Toronto and London, would receive their packages within 1-2 business days., where Calgary would be about 3 business days, and Yellowknife would be at least 5 business days.
All remote locations vary so if you need a time frame and are in a remote location, please contact me before making your purchase.
International Customers INCLUDING USA -
I ship airmail through Canada Post, this does NOT include tracking. If you want a tracking number please contact me BEFORE you make your purchase so I can give you a shipping quote. Shipping time internationally for my American customers is 5-10 business days, however it can take longer if your package is one of the random Custom checks. Other countries, typically take 10-14 business days, but again, can take a little longer if your package is a routine Customs check.
I package my pieces to protect them in shipping using bubble wrap mailers. I bubble wrap the piece, place it in the gift box and I give it a little shake to ensure there is no movement in the box at all. Then it goes in the bubble mailer. I will ship to your Etsy address unless you've contacted me to make other arrangements.
I support all my orders until they are received and make their way safe and sound, so please there is no need to be rude or mean to me (yes this happens if you can believe it), I do care about you, my customers, and I care that my artwork makes its way home safely.

Being a customer myself, I understand how important it is for a shop owner to value her customers. I certainly have run into some pretty bad customer service, and I strive to go above and beyond what you, my customer, expects of me. It is my goal not just to make you happy, but, to have you be elated with my service and jewelry.
With that said, please do contact me before leaving neutral or negative feedback as I would love the opportunity to show you how truly valuable a customer you are to me.
