The item came exactly how it looks in the picture! The only concern I had was when it was shipped it was not wrapped with anything, just flying around in the box.

About

“Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” ― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

I've worked since I was 14. After a 20 year career working for my local government I became ill. I had to take an early retirement. I have focused a lot of energy on doing all I could to regain being healthy but aside from that since I couldn't go to work, I wanted to do something to feel productive.

Just before retiring my husband and I bought a local historic 100 year old house. With our newly limited budget, I wanted to be thrifty on finding great furniture that suited this lovely home. So I started refinishing furniture. Before I knew it I had more furniture than I could use, so I started offering for sale and from there my little hobby turned into a small business.

From there the creative bug bit me and I started crocheting and doing all kinds of new creative things that I had always been interested in but never had time for. I'm a firm believer when one door closes, another will open.

I'm the go to person in my family when there are parties, showers or weddings. I have a gift for envisioning a grand scheme...and I love seeing that come to life in whatever I create.

Creating is in us all. We each manifest it in different ways. Each piece I list I have loved from the moment I saw or thought of it. I only list those pieces I think you will love too. I hope you find what you are searching for, if not, please feel free to ask. I have lots and lots in the works all the time. So if you see it here and want something a different color, etc. please do ask! I love to take an idea and make it manifest, so if you have that idea, please don't hesitate to contact me about whether or not I can make it happen.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
  • Money Order
  • Other Method
Payment
Please know I hope to make your purchase as friendly as possible. These are some guidelines so that we both are happy with the complete transaction:

I prefer PayPal or credit card. I accept money orders and checks, however please keep in mind that once I receive your payment it may take 10-14 days to ship your purchase.

Sales tax is from my understanding not applicable, so I do not charge sales tax. My inventory is from Delaware - no sales tax state.

If you choose to purchase an item, immediate payment is appreciated. If you choose to pay by check or money order I will hold your purchased item(s) for as long a reasonable time as the mail takes (7-10 days typically); and contact you should I not receive payment. We can decide together a remedy if need be.

Cancellation policy. If I have not shipped, cancellations are accepted. I will refund the full price of the item less 5%

If shipping has occured; and you have not received your purchase when you decide to cancel; I will refund the full price less the 5%. Return shipping is your responsiblity.
Shipping
I have done as much research as possible and list each shipping price as determined from that research. Once an item has been prepared and shipping cost finalized I will refund any overage. In the event (location, etc.) that there is a balance over the amount listed I reserve the right to inform you and let you decide if we should complete the transaction. If you choose not to pay the balance I will refund you promptly (less processing fees if applicable).

I do not list nor provide in the cost the price for insurance on your purchase. I highly suggest insurance, especially since the items are more often than not one of a kind, and once they leave my doorstep, my hands are tied.

I do provide the utmost care in packaging! I first use the best protective box, wrapping and filler as the piece dictates. I secondly do try to utilize green products or recycle packaging whenever it is practical.

If you would like to customize shipping in any way (expedite, insurance, etc.) please make your purchase to secure your item and add in the comments what you would like and I will contact you within 12 hours with additional information.

If you are local to Delaware I am happy to provide you with no shipping for items you pick up. Let me know in your purchase note or convo me so I can change the listing as reserve and adjust the shipping fee.

I am not familiar enough with international customs or shipping to list a cost. I am happy to learn if you are interested in my item(s).
Refunds and Exchanges
First and most importantly please remember all items are either vintage, meaning not new. Handmade items are just that and by definition not going to be like a mass produced item. I have been told I am like a machine ;) however, I am quite human.

Now, with that being said. I really want you to love your purchase. I do try to show the best quality pictures and accurately depict the items I list.

If you receive your purchase and really think it is not what I listed it to be, please let me know. I am reasonable and try to be understanding. I hope you will be too should you find you are not happy when you receive your purchased item. We can discuss the refund amicably I am sure!

Damages, losses, etc.....this is something I have very little control over. I recommend strongly purchasing insurance! I cannot replace many items. INSURANCE is the safest thing to do.
Additional policies and FAQs
I will entertain layaway, custom orders or any questions or suggestions you have.
