So much to paint, so little time!

There have been times when I've gotten away from painting and, if you're anything like me, you're just not as happy as when you're doing something you love. I'm so very fortunate to have an understanding (and patient!) family. Besides, when Momma's happy, everyone's happy, right?

My aunt was a commercial artist and my grandmother and mother were also both artists so, I believe, I was blessed from the get go with this artistic bug. I've studied art, extensively, as well as taught drawing at a small university - and I truly loved teaching! There was nothing like seeing the smiles and sharing the feelings of accomplishment with my students -- people who didn't think they could draw, at all -- "magically transformed" into blossoming artists. It was great!

I've tried several mediums, and have liked them all, but always seem to come back to acrylics. They're certainly more forgiving than watercolors and dry a little faster than oils (oh, there's that "patient" part again... ;) and easier than most to use. Well, some days, anyway. I believe I must be the world's slowest painter. But I finish what I start so it's all good, even if it does take a bit longer.

I started on Etsy, at the recommendation of a couple of nice people I met while doing various art shows. I've been on here since 2008 and have seen it grow into what it is today. While I don't consider this "a job," it is a lot of hard work but I love it.

I do appreciate you all and thanks for stopping by to take a peek!

3). Though not always possible, I try to combine shipping whenever I can in order to get you a better shipping charge/rate.

Landfill Ladies: If you purchase 2, going to the same address, the 2nd will ship free.
4). I normally only ship within the US. If you're out of the country (including APO/FPO), please email me and we'll see if we can work this out for you. Internationally, I can only ship the Landfill Ladies via Priority International Mail. The size of the box I must use to accomodate the heads is over the limit for regular mail. The shipping will probably start around $20 US and go up from there. (If I were the one determining the rates for the USPS, the rates would be better! :).
