You finally found it!
Welcome to my little treasure chest. This chest isn't filled with gold or silver, but patterns, nearly lost to all who weren't around for their original debut in the 40's-90's.
These pages include items from our early years or before, made with love by older family and friends. Many kept their copy, torn from a magazine and folded up, in a notebook or folder. If the whole magazine was held on to, it was tattered and stained with coffee. Now relics of the past, any good copy of those magazines is sold for crazy prices. When what most people want is that pattern for a tablecloth their grandmother made them for a wedding gift, or the bear they made their child, and would like to now make for their grandchild.
My goal is to share these items. I don't want them to disappear forever. I would love a new generation to adore the creations made from these patterns. Knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, sewing, and even plastic canvas. These are crafts that keep hands busy and minds sharp.
I spent many summers reading through my mother's and grandmother's craft books. Over the course of my life, I have made many of them myself.
