About LKSilverworks

Sales 6
On Etsy since 2015

Creating artisan jewelry stimulates my senses, my intellect and my imagination.

My jewelry work is rooted in craftsmanship, a love of nature and organic forms, and a desire to use my talents to help clients celebrate important people or events in their lives with a meaningful piece of jewelry. I hand craft each piece of jewelry out of fine and sterling silver accented with gemstones, pearls and 22kgold. Each piece is crafted individually, and is a durable, three dimensional expression of my imagination.

I fuse metal clay sculpting with traditional metal smith techniques . I craft each piece in my home studio using recycled metals, ethically sourced stones, and the most environmentally friendly chemicals.

My educational background is in Interior Design, with a BFA from Parsons School of Design. I started making jewelry as a hobby, and became fascinated with traditional metals smith techniques and the colorful world of precious stones. I studied basic to intermediate metalsmithing with nationally recognized master metalsmiths Noel Yovovich and Joe Silvera. Along the way, I was introduced to the wonderful world of Precious Metal Clay as a jewelry medium. I’ve earned PMC Certification Level 1 and 2 from Senior Instructor Sherry Viktora, and advanced stone setting in PMC from Linda Kline.

I’ve been a professional artist since 2006, and show my work in the Chicago area as LKSilverworks .

My work is seen at several major art fairs in the greater Chicago area and has been displayed at the Andersonville Galleria and Fortunate Discoveries Gallery.
