simple and sweet custom prints and cards

Meet the Owner of LNZart

Lindsay Megahed

owner, designer

My story doesn't begin with the usual "I've been doodling since I first picked up a crayon...". It actually wasn't until several years after numerous advertising and web jobs that my lovely sister-in-law gifted me a basic set of watercolors and I started to play around with paint. When my first son was born years later, I quit work to stay at home with him and that’s when I first started to take my art seriously.

When I first opened my shop I was selling only limited edition prints of my paintings and it took many months to get just one sale. I started personalizing my paintings by adding names and dates to prints. From there I started doing more digital prints with even more customization and that’s when things really started to pick up. I also had been doing birthday party invites and holiday photo cards for my family and friends for years but when I finally started listing them in my shop, especially the holiday ones, my sales jumped significantly over the holiday season.

I listen very closely to my customers because their requests often become my best sellers. Most of my work is custom so I encourage color suggestions or changing elements around. I tend to get stuck in a certain color palette or it might never occur to me to "add this" or "change that" in my prints. Through a customer’s suggestion, suddenly, I’ll see something I’ve had in my shop for years in a different light that will bring it new life and attention.

The animal name print is my favorite order to make because the colors can be customized to fit any nursery/playroom. It’s fun to see how each name will be spelled out in animal letters. I love how it's celebrating a name sometimes even before that little person has entered the world.

I love hearing where my prints end up because it’s often for a nursery and that special experience brings me back to why I opened my shop in the first place.

I hope you enjoy looking around my shop!
Lindsay
