I got there in the end...

I suppose in one way or another, LokiCoki was an ongoing idea since I was at school (when I first started making strange and wonderful creations), but I never dreamed I would be able to do crafting for a living!

I studied Decorative Arts at University and specialised in Textile Design - I dreamed of being a pattern or wallpaper designer...

... As it turns out, getting a job in the creative industry is not that easy when you first graduate. I fell into office work and got stuck in a rut I guess... Before I know it I am a Senior Claims Consultant for an insurance company... Ooooh, the glamour! The excitement!

Then the recession hit... I realise this has been devastating for some but it is probably the best thing to ever happen to me. Just like many people working in Financial Services, I was made redundant... And then LokiCoki came to life!

I have been truly humbled by people's response to my work. If it were not for my fabulous followers then I would not be able to do the job of my dreams, so THANK YOU!!!!

Once an item has been reserved (i.e - Etsy sale complete), payment to be made within 3 days.
Once payment has cleared in Paypal, I will send your item within 5 business days. Of course, if you need an item sooner then please let me know and I shall see what I can do. UK Buyers, I post all items by UK first class post, but if you would like me to send by Recorded or Special Delivery then please drop me an email and this can be arranged at an additional cost.

Standard UK Delivery - I will obtain a Certificate of Posting when sending each item as proof of postage. I do not take out any additional insurance on items when sending.

International delivery - I operate from the UK but am happy to ship overseas. Whilst I know a thing or two about sewing/crochet, international tax law is not something I am that clued up on - so if buying from outside the UK, please note that customs tax may apply to your purchase - this is your responsibility and is to be paid separately from the Etsy sale. Thank you : )
Refunds and Exchanges
Items are sold as displayed on Etsy - all items are individually made by me and not mass-produced. As a result of this, each creature/item will have his or her individual "quirks" and may not be 100% flawless/symmetrical/"perfect"... but hey, neither are you or I, and that is what makes us all unique!

I do not offer refunds on items as I believe buyers will have considered their purchase before the sale is made and that I provide sufficient photos to accurately represent all items... However, should you receive your item and not be delighted, then please do not hesitate to contact me by email and I will be happy to work something out with you.

If an item is lost or damaged in transit then I'm afraid I cannot accept any responsibility for this as once the creatures leave me I have no control over their care whilst on their way to you. As written in my shipping policy, I obtain a certificate of posting for each item I send, as proof of posting.
Additional policies and FAQs
Whilst I appreciate that the LokiCreatures may be appealing to children, I must advise that they are not designed to be children's toys, but decorative friendly-type companions for us grown-ups.

Having said this, I am confident that they would withstand some rough playing if a child DID get their hands on one, as I aim to make them very robust so as to last for many years to come!

Where I use plastic eyes, these are always safety eyes, manufactured to British Safety Standards. The only other materials I use are: fabric, acrylic yarn, polyfill toy stuffing (again, manufactured to British Safety Standards), buttons, thread, and plain rice (to add weight).
