Armenia Arabella loved dolls and learned to sew at an early age. Growing up in rural Italy, Armenia made costumes for herself and her dolls and played all day in a fantasy world. Armenia went to art school in Spain, but dropped out due to an attraction with a young man who asked her to travel with him.
Armenia Arabella’s fashion label “La Bella” was founded in 1985 with the opening of her first atelier in the Via Montenapoleone district of Milan, Italy. Armenia's career was cut short in 1998 when a tragic car accident in Monte Carlo left her a paraplegic. Worst of all, she lost the love of her life, her fiance Roberto. They are so lifelike and ethereal, she feels it is a perfect marriage for her fashion vision, and it allows her to work from home. Now, her devoted staff have set up world wide web networks to sell her exclusive collections. Armenia is known as an eccentric and her fashions are sought after by collectors the world over.
