A work of art that's a musical instrument. How perfect is that! Great communication from a talented artist, plus super fast shipping. It just doesn't get better. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

what a find! So cool. I'll probably never use it as a stick, but it will be prominently displayed as art.

About

Creating..........

I love to create.

I was a potter for many years and loved clay, after all it's just fancy dirt - :)) - and I loved being covered in clay after a day in the studio. [Guess I wasn't allowed to get too dirty as a kid] I originally took pottery classes to teach me patience - I finally gave in to the lesson because I realized I had to have patience to create what I wanted to bring to form. I did not do functional pottery [plates, mugs etc] - - - - except when I had to in college. I just wanted to do one-of-a-kind clay art with unusual designs and glazes, fired in unusual ways.

In 2001, I moved to a new state, found a job, bought a house, created a new living space ............in 2006 I took early retirement and a breath ....... then began wondering how I was going to channel my creativity. I thought I might go back to clay but then in 2008 a friend gave me some gourds........hummmmm.

I do art that nudges me to bring it to form......

In 2011, I discovered Apoxie Sculpt, an air dried clay, that lends itself for use on a variety of materials and allows me to add the details I love. In 2013, I started creating some 'just clay' pieces..... In 2014, I started using art mesh with the clay and clay on wood....... I am still exploring and experimenting - I wonder what's next??? - I know clay will always be involved!

I've always needed to create - whether it's in clay, a living space, or ?........the 'what' I create doesn't seem to matter as much as the need to create.
