About

Dolls for a doll.

It all started when I wanted to make a unique doll for my baby.

Even though most of the women in my family sew, some of them professionally, I never knew how to sew. I studied, music, and theater, and then early childhood. I was somehow crafty, you learn a lot when working at day care. However, sewing was never my thing.
It wasn’t until I got pregnant and found myself living in Mexico that I decided I was going to sew things for the baby. I made toys, mobiles, and crib sheets. I taught myself how to sew using pinterest and YouTube. (It’s amazing how much you can learn with YouTube). When baby V arrived, 15 minutes after she was born, we found out she was a girl (we were to excited to notice the sex) and I just knew I wanted to make a doll for her. I always liked the perfect imperfections that come with a handmade doll; its what makes it special. I was going to wait for her first birthday and make her a doll, her first doll. I even told my family not to give her any dolls until I gave her mine. I got a pattern from Adirondacks and made a Waldorf inspired doll that came out pretty nice. I then started researching to make other dolls. I started drawing patterns based on dolls I would see and wanted to make. It took me a long time to decipher how to make an efficient pattern though. My first dolls looked like aliens, and we would laugh at them. I finally was able to create a pattern I liked, and made a doll for my niece who was soon to be a big sister.
From then on everyone that would see the dolls I made would suggest that I sell them, but I just thought that would never happen, I was making special dolls for MY baby. Then one day I said why not? I still don’t want to leave baby V in daycare but did wanted to put some money in her school account. So this was it! I could work from home, stay with my baby, make money for her and do something I love!! So here I am, one year after. The dolls have evolved so much from what they were in the beginning.
I actually love making these dolls, they are each as unique as a baby is, and that’s why I name them. I fall in love with each doll I make. There are not two that look the same, maybe similar but not the same.

My dolls are handmade, imperfectly perfect detailed dolls, very unique, and made with children in mind.

Thank you for taking the time to look at our shop and read its story.

Dolls made in a loving home!

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
If for any reasons you are unhappy with your doll or stuffed animal, contact me and we'll work something out.

If the item has damage or is faulty I will cover the return fees and return the full amount paid to us once the item arrives. If the item has not damage and it is not faulty the buyer will need to cover the fee and we will reimburse the amount paid to us minus the shipping cost as soon as the item arrives. It is necessary that you give me a tracking number so I can track the returning package at all times.
Payment
We only accept PayPal at the moment. Etsy won't allow us to accept credit cards because we are in Mexico. If you don't have a PayPal account you can still pay with a credit card through PayPal without having to open an account. Just choose the "pay as a guest" option when you are directed to the PayPal website.
Shipping
Ready to ship items will be shipped on Tuesdays and Thursdays unless there is a Mexican Holiday. Each order will have a 12 hour cancellation period. If the buyer do not cancel the order before this time and the item has already been shipped, the buyer will need to return the package at his or her own expenses and we will refund the price of the doll (minus shipping) as soon as we get the package back. The package needs to have tracking number so I can track it at all times.

I mail all my dolls with standard certified Mexican mail because it is the only way available to me that I can get a tracking number. This means you will need to sign for the package to receive it.

****For Canada residents**** The Canada Post has informed me that there is no longer international inbound tracking available. Which means that once the package leaves Mexico I have no way of tracking your package. You will need to check with your postal office to make sure you didn't miss the package and they don't send it back to me. This is completely out of my control. I am sorry for any inconveniences.

Orders outside of Mexico will take around 30 days to be delivered through standard certified mail. During Holiday Season packages can take up to 8 weeks to get to their destination. There is nothing I can do about this, so buy your Christmas presents with that in mind. Each package has a tracking number so you can keep track of it.

I try my best to estimate shipping charges for multiple orders and I will refund any overcharges for shipping as long as it is more than 1 USD.

Any customs fees that may apply are the buyers responsibility. I can't be responsible for delays due to customs.
Additional policies and FAQs
Special request and custom orders will need to pay a 50 % deposit before I can start making the doll or stuffed animal.
