Announcement   Hi Folks!
I share my handcrafted clay work and photography here. Also a small collection of women's vintage shoes I wanted to temporarily offer as well. I know, a weird collection, right?
A little bit about my art: Clay is one of those materials that needs to be felt by the hand, shaped, and formed. My process involves hand-building techniques and alternative firing methods that use no glaze. The surfaces are smooth and the coloration is the result of an atmospheric firing technique that defines each piece.
Photography has always challenged me to explore and question why I shoot. It is definitely a medium I use to create a rich visual world by enlarging tiny areas of detail either set up or occurring naturally. Water has largely my subject matter, but I have enjoyed experimenting with other techniques as well.

Browse the spirit animal figures, ceramic boxes, or photography and feel free to ask any questions about process or what else I may be working on. Thanks for visiting and stay tuned as I add more and more images to the mix. You can view more work through my website at

Wow, women had tiny feet back then. They're a bit narrow for today's feet - this is for a pre teen's 1800's authentic (reproduction) costume I'm making. Absolutely perfect design for my purposes, and in excellent shape. It's really neat to hold a piece of real history; these most likely were mass produced, and that's authentic to the character we depict too.. so the story that goes with them is great. I'm replacing the laces with more accurate (the ones on them had nylon and plastic parts) ones, but other than that they should hold up for.. at least another 20 years with wear. We'll take care of them! Thanks to seller for FAST delivery and excellent turnaround.

About

My work

Hello All

My goal is to provide people with something beautiful that enhances their life in some way while I have the fun creating it. I work in two different mediums: clay and photography. My work is inspired by nature and the special friendships we develop throughout life with our animals.

I live and work in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina that is a great resource for me as well as home to many creative people.

Keep in mind though, with my process it is impossible to make any two pieces exactly the same and there will be slight differences.
