About

The adventure of La Gagiandra

La Manifattura is an upcycling workshop where we transform fabric remnants, used clothes and linen into new pieces, as bags, accessories and housewares.

La Manifattura is a project by the social cooperative La Gagiandra, a non-profit organization founded in April 2012. It's made up of two working members (my partner Sergio and me) and one volunteer (our dear friend Enrico).
Our cooperative collaborates with the Casa dell'Ospitalità Foundation, the organization that runs two shelters for homeless people in Venice and Mestre (Venice dry land).

We offer disabled people the opportunity of a work experience in the textile workshop.
Currently, Zahra is employed in the Manifattura and we both work together to create the items listed in the shop.

We hope you'll enjoy the results.
Thanks for your visit!

Both sites just in italian, at the moment :(

Our pieces are all one of a kind, handmade and at least 80% upcycled, from the item to the wrapping.

Our workshop is pet and smoke free.
