4. Refunds and Exchanges

Temporary shop policy, COVID19 related:

If your parcel is being delayed in connection with the COVID19 pandemic, we will either refund you or reship in case your parcel does not show up in 8 (eight) weeks after we shipped it. Thank you for your kind understanding in this difficult year for all of us.
Please read the SHIPPING part of our shop policy to see how we react re. lost parcels.

La Mia Casa will accept returns or exchanges on damaged items if the client can prove that the item was received in that state, within the logical time frame after the purchase, with maximum of 2 weeks after receiving the item. As of the items regarding which the client has changed her/his mind and the item is not to her/his liking for whatever reason, kindly contact us and we'll do our best to make you a happy customer. Please note that if the item is as described, but the client either failed to read the description or had expected something else from what was precisely described in our shop, we will issue a refund upon the return/receipt of the said item to our address - please also note that, in this particular situation, it is the client who covers the shipping costs both ways.

In rare cases where the client doesn't receive the item she/he purchased from La Mia Casa (parcel got lost and there was no tracking) please let me know about that and I will do my best to make you a happy client! My general policy is to wait for 6 weeks to see if the parcel will arrive after all, and if it doesn't, I offer to either make and ship the same items again or to refund your money.

PLEASE NOTE that here in Europe, online tracking is NOT automatically included in standard shipping, you can add it by purchasing a separate listing in our shop if you wish:

We will otherwise use the standard shipping via Belgian Post, which is very reliable (but no tracking) - the whooping 99% of our 22.000 parcels to the USA have arrived safely. The remaining 1%, which gets lost, we will either refund you or re-ship.

Custom orders can not be returned.
Shipping
Each of my creations is made-to-order. I make them in my sweet cottage in Belgrade and my sister, who lives in Belgium, ships them to you. Our current production time is from as short as 1 day to as long as 2 weeks, depending on the items.

Orders are shipped via Belgian Royal Mail priority service. Shipping time to the USA is usually 1-3 weeks. (COVID19 pandemic temporary change: 1-8 weeks). This is a very reliable service, and 99% of our parcels arrive safely. It does not include tracking though. Tracking needs to be paid for separately here in Belgium. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT PURCHASE TRACKING AUTOMATICALLY. If you did not add tracking, and your parcel does not show up after 6 weeks, we shall consider it lost and we will refund you or reship.
Temporary change COVID19 related (instead of 6 weeks, we will wait for 8 weeks before we consider your parcel lost).

If, for any reason, you don’t feel happy about my items, please contact me through the Etsy conversation system. I will do my best to make sure that you are a satisfied customer.

I will always exchange or refund merchandise if you are not pleased with your order. Do note, however, that I cannot pay for the shipping of the item you wish to return in cases where the client has misunderstood the description of our item - for example, if the client purchases a garland believing (for whatever reason) that it is 3 meters long, while the description clearly states that it is 2 meters long, we will refund his/her money but it is the client who has to pay the postage for the item they will be returning to us. Feel free to contact me at any time with questions, comments or concerns.

Custom orders:

Please pre-pay 100% - all custom sales are final. We do not exchange or refund the custom made orders.

Etsy address:

Please make sure your Etsy address is updated and correct. I will be shipping to the Etsy address and not Pay Pal. If you would like me to ship to another address, please mention it in the "note to seller" box when paying. If this policy is not followed--a refund or new purchase will not be granted.
