About

Lucky to learn, lucky to love and I love to care.

I am a child of immigrants.
What was home for me, was a whole diffrent world to what my parents new to be comforting.
So I was raised by people that were alien to their environment and they raised me to be aware, curious and to celebrate the differences in people, cultures and countries.
***I was lucky to learn this at an early age.***

After highschool I became an immigrant myself. I was a loved and welcomed family member in a wonderful hostfamily in the US.

I was named the "so un-german German" by my Australian fellow students and I am still sure I left a piece of heart in Melbourne with all those fantastic people who showed me their country and homes.

I know the joys of living in the cold north of Europe and know that the Scottish will make you one of their own if you care to share your time for a laugh, a pint and dance at a Ceilidh with them.

The French will raise an eyebrow cause tzey will not understand you zo good, but their hospitality will make you crave their wine, cheese, fish, crepes, macarons, croissant... and lifestyle for the rest of your life.

***I am lucky to be loved and to love so many.***

I have seen so many wonders already on this earth and I know that are many more to discover, but if we want to enjoy them in the future we have to be aware of our lifestyle. There should be more to our lives than just thinking about ourselves.
I studied design and had the opportunity to work on some fantastic sounding projects, but when it is in the end just about the money....just about "How much can I sell? How big will my margin be?"... many times it is just about producing pretty, but also pretty worthless things.

I added an MSc in Sustainable Building Design and love working with like-minded people on projects that truly make a difference....on the little scale and hopefully at some point on the big-scale as well.

But since the creative little monster inside of me is always pushing me TO DO things I try to combine my both degrees by working on Sustainable Designs here on Etsy.

My ceramic products are all eco-friendly.
That's because they are sourced locally. All my materials originate from and are bought in France. The porcelain derives from the Burgundy region, the centre of France. The colors used are from a French company producing in France. If I need models or patterns that I can't make myself, I turn to artisans that produce locally. People that DO NOT mass produce.

The ceramic clay I use is NOT FIRED. After long research I found this beautiful material that does not need firing due to its magnificent natural chemical composition. It is self-hardening and becomes very shock resistant and receives its exquisite fine texture through several steps of manual polishing. Just like diamonds that show their true beauty only after working their rough surface.
The energy put in is therefore my own, no electricity, no gas or coal and surely no additional CO2 emissions of an oven (other than my own as a human being).

You are buying consciously sustainable here.
From beginning to end 100% handmade with love in France.

***I love to care***

Shop policies

First of all: thank you for your visit and interest in my shop!

I opened my Etsy shop to have a diversion from grey everyday life. So this shop is my hobby, my baby and I wish to keep it as pleasant and fun as possible - for myself and for the customer.
I WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY WITH THE ITEM YOU BUY!

I am a big fan of re-using packaging. More for environmental than for cost reasons. I woll NOT send you your item in a shabby old box or bag, but please do not be surprised if you receive it in a packaging that has nothing to do with my shop. (Example: I have an optician friend that has loads of little cartons from glasses/sunglasses (quite posh ones actually) and you might receive your item in one of those.)

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
  • Check
Payment
Via Paypal.
Cancellation and full refund possible if the item has not been shipped yet!
Please understand that if you have ordered a personalised item (with name and/or date) that has already been made I will not be able to refund you.
Shipping
Items ship Monday to Friday. I will ship your order within 3 days of receiving payment unless it is a custom order, then please allow 6-9days, though I normally finish before that.
Refunds and Exchanges
Description and photos are made to give the customer the best possible overview of state and condition of the item so there should be NO SURPRISES!
But due to the nature of handcrafting there are small differences between each item that make the one you purchase unique. Therefore you may be buying an item slightly different from the one pictured, and I'll always state this in the description if that's the case. There are also colour variations depending on the lighting in the photo or your monitor settings, so bear this in mind.

I will always pack your item super carefully to make sure it reaches you safely.
IF you are for any reason unhappy with an item please let me know why and include pictures of the state it arrived in, so we can discuss a course of action. All issues must be brought to my attention within one week of delivery in order to be considered for a refund.

My handmade items are selected from various materials, new and are made with love and affection. Anything made by hand should be treated gently, it is porcelain after all.

Remember nothing I sell is really a toy and I cannot be held responsible for damages due to rough play or misuse.

All my items are shipped without tracking - unless otherwise requested. Please let me know via message and add another 6CHF to your shipping costs . Should delivery be late, I am more than happy to inquire with the Swiss LaPoste for you. Should there be mishandling from the postal service of the recipients country it is the customers responsibility to contact their postal service.
Please understand that I can not refund the shipping costs.
Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer.
I do not accept responsibilty for items that may cause choking hazards to young children.

Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions!
Additional policies and FAQs
*Materials utilised and the environment*
All my products are eco-friendly.
The porcelain has a natural, unbleached white (eggshell) color. Slight differences in colouring, positioning of design or distances between letters are no sign of imprecision, but lie in the nature of handmade and make your purchased item unique and truly YOUR item.

*Production method*
The ceramic clay I use is not fired. After long research I found this beautiful material that does not need firing due to its magnificent natural chemical composition. It is self-hardening and becomes very shock resistant and receives its exquisite fine texture through several steps of manual polishing. *Price:*
You pay for me to become richer. I want to become richer through good, honest, quality work. I want YOU to become richer by owning less throw-away goods, but an item that will never have the same value for anyone else but you. I want you to be richer by having more uniqueness.
I chose to try to become richer by doing it as sustainable as possible and with best quality available. For this quality I pay Western European prices. I do ONLY source materials from France and Italy and equipment from my home country Germany.
I use patterns for my designs to ensure the personalised item you receive comes as close as possible to the one you see on my pictures. The patterns I can't produce myself are made by German/French artisans that do not mass produce. I like to support other small businesses. I value their skills that make my designs possible. I pay willingly the extra money.

I do not mass produce myself. Unlike many other goods like paper or tissue that has been designed once and is then reproduced/reprinted by a machine, I am going back to my atelier for each piece. I will prepare the porcelain, imprint each letter and the design by hand and after drying polish, paint and polish again....all manually. The product you will receive is handmade with love from start to finish.

My orders are created in a pet-free and smoke-free home. I can do custom orders, just convo me!
Lovely gift wrapping in the style of my shop is available upon request for a very small extra fee. Or, for free, I can include a simple note to the recipient if it is someone other than the purchaser.

I reserve the right to photograph, post or sell again any design that originates as a custom order.
