Announcement   Every item here is designed and handcrafted by my husband and I out of quality leather from Italy. We believe in making products that last, so every item is 100% solid leather, not filled with dryer fluff from China! We also use non-toxic, water and wax-based treatments on the leather, which is tanned using oak bark, so the process is natural from start to finish.

Thanks for visiting and supporting those of us who craft :-)

The collar arrived as described, even better than I could have imagined! Shipping was good, around a week to travel across the country. The seller was amazing, responded very quickly to any questions I had, helped me pick out what I wanted, and anything else I needed along the way!

I would like to say the seller is quite responsive and helpful. As far as the product, the thinner leather strip that holds on the watchface is quite soft, but the thick strap with the tooling that actually touches your skin is very rough. I have applied 10 coats of leather oil over the course of a week to try to help the leather soften up to limited success. It is quite itchy on the skin and very stiff when it first arrives. I am hoping with some wear and time it will soften up. I don't think this would be a good item for someone who is not familiar with leather and how to care for it. If I didn't have horse tack and other leather items I wouldn't have known to apply leather oil to soften the strap and make it tolerable enough to wear to break it in. The tooling is great the craftsmanship seems quite sturdy. Time will tell.

Thanks so much for your review and feedback. We use a oak bark tanned leather for our tooled and embossed elements, and it can be quite stiff to begin with, however it does break in and form to you considerably with wear and will become very comfortable. We use the leather we do both for it’s longevity and the property that it holds patterns very well over time. Softer leathers don’t hold tooling or embossing well in the long term, as with use the patterning wears out of the leather. We choose to emphasize long term quality over the short term period of discomfort during the breaking in process. You are absolutely correct that a good way to accelerate the breaking in process is to treat the leather with mink oil or some other leather conditioner early on (also good for care).

Payment
Our preferred method of payment is the wonderfully convenient Paypal. The "Other" option which appears in our payment choices is reserved for trades or other special circumstances. If you need to pay via cheque or money order, please contact us first and take note that we will not send the purchased items until the cheque or money order clears.

If I don't receive notification of your payment via Paypal within 24 hours, expect us to follow up to touch base. If we have yet to receive payment within 3 days and and have had no response to our inquires, we will be forced to cancel the sale and repost the item.
Refunds and Exchanges
If there is a flaw in our workmanship beyond the expected minor variations that give handmade goods their charm, we will accept a return for full refund as long as the item is received within 30 days from the purchase date. If it is received later than 30 days from the purchase date, but no later than 60 days, we will offer a store credit or exchange for a comparable item.

If the return is motivated by a concern other than workmanship, such as the sizing not fitting, we offer a store credit or exchange if the item is received in saleable condition within 30 days of the purchase date. The only exception to this is that belts made to custom sizing (sizing in between or outside our normal size range of 32", 34", 36", 38", 40", 42", 44", and 46") cannot be returned for sizing reasons, so please make sure of your sizing and ask us if you need help to do so!

In case of a return, if the reason is a flaw in our product, we will cover shipping in both directions if needed. In the case of a return for other reasons, such as sizing, you will cover both shipping costs. If you are in a remote area or another circumstance that would result in obscene shipping costs to send us the item in time, contact us regarding using slower, less expensive shipping within 1 week prior to the end of the return window and we can discuss arrangements.
Additional policies and FAQs
We welcome custom orders! If your vision isn't best suited to our expertise, we are also always happy to direct you to other leatherworkers whose talents would be better suited, so don't be afraid to ask!

We also offer wholesale pricing for other vendors - contact us for details. Note that we do not at this time accept commission arrangements except with local vendors.
