Touch of Elegance for an Affair to Remember

I have always been creative and crafty from a young age as my mom owned her own home based sewing and design business. I was constantly taking her scraps and making something new out of them either for myself or gifting to family members. This carried over into my adult life creating unique home decor pieces, or my favorite hobby, decorating for parties. I started LaceyClaireDesigns shortly after I got married in 2010. I ordered a number of items for my wedding from Etsy, but I also had a specific vision for items I couldn't find, so went about making them myself. A few of our guests were impressed with what they saw and hired me to help with their weddings later that year. From there, a business and a dedicated passion were born. I quit my job after 11 years in 2011 and I've never looked back. I love making decor items for all kinds of events and especially appreciate thinking outside of the box to come up with one of a kind items.

I love what I do and I hope it shows in my work and when conversing with all customers. I draw my inspiration from all things girly but with a simple understated elegance. I'm always looking to add new and fresh ideas and decor to my shop, and much of that comes from speaking with my customers and working with them. I strive to remain distinct and original so please do not ask me to copy others designs and do not ask others to copy my designs. My aim is to create quality, elegant, and distinct decor that you will treasure on your big day and beyond.

Thank you for supporting my small home based business. My customers have allowed me to to do something I am passionate about and also take care of my two sweet little boys, Henry and Grayson. While it's not always easy juggling everything, I'm grateful for these blessings. -xoxo - Lacey

Returns and exchange details
All items are custom made to order and cannot be exchanged or refunded. If you are dissatisfied with your item, please contact me upon receipt so we may work on a resolution. If your items has been damaged, please contact me within 3 days of receipt with pictures for replacement item.

If you need to cancel your order for any reason, please contact me within two days, otherwise a 30% restocking fee will be applied .

If you are in doubt about color selections please contact me to mail swatches to me for matching or to purchase swatch samples.

All items are handmade and are subject to slight variations.

I accept payment by personal check (US sales only), money order (US sales only) or major credit cards via Etsy or through PayPal.

To pay by personal check or money order, complete the checkout process and mail your payment to the address provided. Payment must be postmarked within 3 days.

Please note that that I am not responsible for loss of your check or money order during delivery. Please also note that it may take up to 10 business days after I receive your personal check for it to clear so you may expect a slight delay in shipping if you pay by this method.

Shipping
All items ship via USPS Priority Mail/Parcel Post or FedEx Ground and may take up to 6-7 business days to deliver. Insurance is automatically included up to $100 and would cover a replacement item up to $100. If you would like more insurance added, please contact me to purchase.

Delivery generally occurs within 8-15 business days, but can vary depending on customs and your country's post.

Custom and personalized orders

All items are handmade to order in your colors and therefore take time to create. Orders paid for today ship in about 3 weeks (card boxes, guest books. program boxes, ring pillows and baskets). Unity candles, dollar dance bags, cake serving sets, and jump brooms ship in about 2 weeks. If you need your items sooner, email me to discuss (rush fees may apply).

Delivery Speed

Card boxes and large orders are shipped via FedEx/Smartpost due to size and may take 2-6 business days for delivery (includes real time tracking; delivery time is an estimate only). Please factor production time AND delivery time in when ordering.

HAWAII AND ALASKA ORDERS: Please allow up to 6 weeks for delivery via USPS Parcel Post. If you prefer a faster shipping method, please contact me for a price quote.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: Please allow 8-15 business days for delivery (give or take depending on your countries customs process).

Damaged Items/Returns

Insurance is automatically added up to $100 on items shipped within the US (if you would like more added, please contact me for a quote). I take great care in wrapping/packing each item but sometimes damage does occur. In the event an item arrives damaged, save all contents and packing materials. Take pictures of the shipping box and of the damaged items and email them to me no more than 3 days from receipt of the order. I will work with you to get a replacement but need pictures and may ask that the items be returned (return labels will be provided). If pictures are not provided, I can not process a replacement.

I do not accept returns - all items are custom made for you and therefore can't be resold.

Care Instructions

To care for your items, store in a dry place away from heat or direct sunlight in the packaging your items arrived in.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your order for any reason, please contact me within 48 hours of your purchase. After 48 hours, a 30% restocking fee applies. Materials/Supplies are purchased shortly after your order is received and can't returned so a restocking fee is assessed to cover these costs.

Do I allow local pick-up?

To all Chicago area residents, I offer free pickups at my house located in the North Shore area. Your shipping will be refunded after you pick up your items. Any items that may need bubble wrap such as candles or glasses will be charged a small handling fee. Please contact me for more details.
