Lacy Hope Art

My name is Lacy Hope Dobbs, and I was born and raised in the southern foothills of Appalachia. I live on Sand Mountain in Fort Payne, AL with my husband and our four children. We’re an unschooling family, so when I'm not painting, I spend most of my time playing and learning with the kids. I don't get a lot of spare time at this point in my life, but when I'm able to steal a few minutes for myself I enjoy playing guitar, gardening, scrolling Instagram, and catching up on my favorite Netflix shows.

I have experimented with many different art forms over the years, but painting has always called to me. I love using bright, happy colors in my paintings and hope to make others smile and feel uplifted with my work. I draw inspiration from my childhood love of the 1960’s-70’s hippie culture, witchy magic, and my southern mountain roots.

I found a love for painting on recycled materials shortly after my youngest child was born, and once I had filled our home full of art, I knew I had to start sharing it with the world. I opened Lacy Hope Art in October 2016. Since then I have experienced so much joy. I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to live out my dreams of being a Real Artist! I hope you enjoy looking around my shop, and if there’s anything I can help you with, please just let me know! ✌🏼💜
