1 out of 5 starsI haven’t received my order which was placed on Oct 30th 2021. Seeking order cancellation and refund. I’ve actually ordered from this seller before, disappointed that this order wasn’t a good experience.

2 out of 5 starsThey were dispatched over a month after ordering; on contacting the seller they responded straight away and explained that a death in the family had caused the delay. Item not as expected but more my fault at not reading the description properly ad I'm not really sure what you'd do with them. They came up in a search for Elvis and crochet related item - they are definitely neither!

Exchanging Fire
I started knitting my first semester of college, when I saw a senior girl working on a project in front of crackling fire in an old college dorm. We were surrounded by co-eds happily clicking their needles, and there was a mystical, time-honored tradition of old about the whole thing that reminded me of the 1900s instead of the 21st century. I immediately wanted to learn to knit as well, and after letting me play with her project for a bit, the senior girl instructed me to go out, buy my own materials, and she’d teach me how. My first scarf took two years to complete and is now a lap blanket in my parent’s house! Yes, I tend to go overboard.
The ability to tap into a modern, vibrant network of fellow enthusiasts around the world has helped my knitting talents grow and bloom, from experiments in dyeing yarn and designing original patterns to creating unique stitch markers and other notions for yarn and fiber lovers.

Our QCI is no longer with us, but her fur might be. She liked to sniff lanolin fumes, was mesmerized by yarn winding, and enjoyed being lavished with attention while reclining on handknits.

Estimated shipping and handling times
Many of the items I create are handmade at the time of purchase, and the time it takes to put your order together can take up to 7 business days (10-14 calendar days).
Don't know when your order is due to ship? Select "Purchases and Reviews" under the drop-down menu in the right hand corner of your screen. There you will see your order and if you click on "Receipt" you'll see the estimated date your order is due to ship.
I'll do my best to meet these shipping estimates, but cannot guarantee them, especially during high ordering periods. Actual delivery time will depend on the shipping method you choose. See my shop policies for more details on shipping.
Repair and replacement of stitch markers
I'm happy to make free repairs to stitch markers that have fallen apart from being worked hard and well-loved. Just send me any damaged markers (don't forget the important pieces, like the beads because I'll need those!) and I'll restring, rehang, and make them as good as new. Then I'll send them back to you free of charge.
Allergies and pets
Please note that my items come from a smoke-free, cat-friendly household. Though my cat does not play with my products (she is totally bored by the knitting process), be aware that a wisp of stray hair could make its way into your package.
Photographs and images
I describe and photograph my products as accurately as possible using a Panasonic DMC-LX7 camera with a Leica macro lens in natural lighting.
Due to variations between monitors, your personal monitor settings, minor variations of daylight, color filters, or the uniqueness of the products themselves, the items you receive may vary slightly from the photos you see.
Wholesale availability
Yes, I offer wholesale options for LYSs and yarn clubs. I currently have stockists across the US, Canada and in Europe. Please contact me for more information or feel free to fill out my wholesale form at www.exchangingfire.com/wholesale.
