About

Elegance on a String

I have always had an eye for jewelry. Even as a little girl growing up in Belize, I longed to pick up pretty rocks for fun. I started making jewelry while pregnant with my first child. Designing jewelry began as a hobby, a creative outlet that restored sanity amid the trying and sleepless months that followed. After seeing a few of my first designs, friends started encouraging me to turn my passion into a business. Thus, Lady Grey Beads Boutique was born. Evoking the glamor and elegance of the 1920s, my jewelry is inspired by the beauty of natural stones, the miracle and iridescence of pearls, the sparkle of Swarovski crystals and the intense colors of Venetian glass.
Many years ago, I read about a couple who hosted Afternoon Teas in their home. These were by reservation only; while the husband would entertain the guest with live piano concerts, the wife served tea. I myself am a tea devotee, and my husband a concert pianist turned professor – and to no surprise, dreams of hosting tea parties were quickly but forever steeped in my mind. Not long later, I read about a world traveler who once a year, after collecting precious items from the far corners of the globe, would invite her friends over and let them shop her collection. These two ideas floated in my head and came together in the unique venue of Lady Grey Beads. Twice a year, Lady Grey Beads hosts a Trunk Show and Afternoon Tea chez Lynnae. Lady Grey Beads Boutique is where good company, fine teas and exquisite jewelry come together in the best of all my worlds. Welcome to the world of Lady Grey Beads.
