I am a Metalsmith, with a love for the untraditional look in jewelry.

When I started out in metalsmithing, I found I really enjoyed working in copper and silver. Hand forging, engraving, and creating an "unfinished", and raw look was rewarding to me. It was unique and different. I am fascinated with old world jewelry, and the tools and style used.

I am a huge fan of Viking jewelry in general, and the art of blacksmithing, hence the name for the shop! I wanted to create my own style that combines a look of old with a bit of new. I use a lot of upcycled items from nature, estate jewelry, and recycled jewelry. Along with new sheet metals, silver, gold and copper.

I melt my own silver and gold, to roll out into new pieces and make elements for estate or upcycled jewelry. I think you will find my jewelry a new and refreshing idea. I also love to do custom orders! When available, I will use upcycled findings such as, estate jewelry, brass findings, or stones. I do my best to source stones from here in the States, and in fact, have a very reliable source I frequently use if I am unable to cut my own stones.

I am not a licensed gemologist, so my stone knowledge is basic, and mainly just a passion for stones. I do rely on my gemstone sources to accurately describe stones I supply in my handmade jewelry.

Care instructions

Most of my jewelry is fabricated using copper, brass and sterling silver. Occasionally, I melt a combination of copper and sterling silver creating a rose gold called shibuichi. All of these metals will oxidize and tarnish over time, but can be easily polished using a soft cloth or jewelry cloth from a retail jewelry store. If a metal used is not sterling silver it will be stated in description that it is silver plated (not sterling). All gemstones are natural gems, unless stated faux in description. And care should be used when cleaning such as no harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes.

Sizing details

If you see an item that you would like to purchase that is not your size, you can message me to see if the piece is sizeable. If I'm able to size it, I charge an additional $20 fee to size rings. I will shorten or lengthen any of my antique brass chain or silk cord, free of charge.

I don't gift wrap or get too fancy on packages unless you request it. I keep my prices down for all of you this way. But will be happy to fancy it up if it's a gift, just say the word, and I'll get fancy shmancy!
