These are my all-time favorite lip scrubs! They're delicious, effective, and super convenient in the tubes.
Artist Wants to Feel and Smell Great!
I'm forty-four years old, happily married for twenty-two to a great guy (hereafter known as Mr. Calm), and we have two daughters, ages twenty-two and twenty-four (yep, got started young!). Through my adult life, I've been a stay-at-home mom, a published writer and photographer, and I'm still a mixed media artist. We live in Nashville, Tennessee and have three Super Cats and one Wonder Dog (and a small zoo of neighborhood birds that like to eat WAY too much bird seed). With all those things, why start a bath and body business? Really, basically, it's all about feeling and smelling great.
I've always loved to smell good. As I got older, I also wanted my skin to feel good (darn that weakening elasticity and dry air!), and once I learned about sugar scrubs, man, there was no stopping me. Unfortunately, it's pretty hard, at least to me, to find one that I absolutely loved. My favorite sugar scrub of all time ended production in 2005, after Hurricane Katrina. Other scrubs were unreasonably-priced. I ordered a jar of scrub once and the ratio of soap to sugar was way too high. And then there are the scrubs that aren't sugary enough: you might as well just be slathering plain oils or butters on your body in the shower. So, when my girls ventured out into their own lives, I decided to turn my efforts toward creating a scrub that was perfect for me. Gritty enough to be a great exfoliating agent. So moisturizing that when I got out of the shower, I wouldn't have to lotion. Not greasy or too oily. Experimenting was better than wandering around in an empty-nester haze. ;)
The recipe for the Lalalita favorite, lip scrub, was built on the same foundation as the sugar scrub: to be a great exfoliant and moisturizer, but it had to be gentle enough for the tender skin of my (and your) lips, with as few ingredients as possible. With these and the lip balms, another shop favorite, you get the best of both worlds: wonderful for your skin, and absolutely tasty, too!
Once I got those down, I moved on to making other products. The perfume oils release a wonderful fragrance, and they share the same characteristics and requirements as the sugar scrub: paraben- and phthalate-free. The fragrances are skin-safe.
One of the best things of all is that as the Almighty Scrub Creator, I get to come up with scents that I can't normally find, like Peanut Butter & Chocolate, Pink Champagne, and Strawberry Lemonade. Be on the lookout for more unique and unusual scents like these in the future.
What are Lalalita's plans for the coming months and years? To continue to make great things for you, as well as slowly introduce more products designed to make you and your world feel better. Isn't it always a boost to the mind and emotional state when your body feels fantastic?

Refunds and Exchanges
•I would hate it if any Lalalita Body Co item arrived damaged; I do my best to ensure that the lip scrubs and balms, and perfume sticks are packaged as carefully as possible in cushioned packing materials. If for some reason the item(s) arrives damaged, please contact me with a photograph of the damaged item(s). •••EXCEPTION: if you have purchased insurance, please contact me within six (6) months (per consumer protection law), and I will send you your insurance details so we can file a claim.
•If you would like an item replaced, I ask that you return the damaged item first.
•REFUNDS FOR ITEMS NOT DELIVERED: Once a package is marked as "Delivered" by the USPS, it is out of my hands, and unfortunately, there is no proof on my end if an order has not been actually delivered. Due to this, it is my shop policy to only offer up to a 50% refund if this is the solution we come up with.
•ABOUT FEEDBACK: if you are just unhappy with your products, *please* convo or email me before leaving negative or neutral feedback. I am more than willing to work out a happy solution, but I feel it's unfair to leave neutral/negative feedback without first contacting me to see if the situation can be remedied.
Additional policies and FAQs
For all customs orders, I require full payment before beginning (this is done via Etsy's convo system). If, for any reason, you decide that you do not want the order, only 50% of your payment will be refundable, as these require additional supplies and time. Please consider this before placing a custom order.
