5 out of 5 starsThe oval post earrings are so perfect I ended up ordering them in both black and silver. If your style is classic and minimalist, but you like unique pieces that make you look stylish, these are for you! Love them with my short hair.

About Laminar
Augmenting the landscape of the body with pared-down geometrical designs.
Laminar is a project I began in 2009 as an exploration into the assemblage of shape, color, and texture in the form of jewelry fabrication and objets d'art.
The term laminar, which characterizes a smooth, layered flow, is reflective of the manner in which I like to see humans interact with their environment. While jewelry at times is meant to be a signifier, I prefer to see it as an intermediary between the person and her environment - a kind of pattern or rhythm that visually negotiates the discrepancy between the two.
I find beauty in pieces discarded by humans - broken glass in a parking lot, a cap from a Gatorade bottle, a leftover neoprene gasket in the street gutter - and I celebrate the qualities of more traditional material of silver.
Along with fabrication, I have a masters degree in architecture from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and was a visiting scholar at the Network Architecture Lab with Columbia University in 2009. I taught design studio in architecture at Arizona State University in Tempe from 2010 to 2012.
I reside in Phoenix at the moment where I live with my lovely daughter, Franka, who is four years old.
