About

It's all about the beads!

I became smitten with beads back in 1997 after wandering into the bead shop in London's Covent Garden. Lured by the colours and sparkle I was mesmerised and began a love affair that continues to this day. I collected, admired, made jewelry, wove seed bead amulets and generally played with my ever growing collection of pretties for a few years, I even sold some of my beaded jewelry to friends and family.

Then in 2002 I came across handmade artisan lampwork beads that were so different from the generic lampwork I was familiar with from the bead shops. I was fascinated, I needed to do this. It took me a while, searching and researching. Lampworking had kept it's secrets for generations on Murano, Italy and it was early days for the internet as well as beadmaking.

My tenacity paid off though and I found not only a teacher in the UK but a whole society dedicated to lampworking, GBUK - Glass Beadmakers UK. I booked my first class and I was in heaven, it was way too much fun! I have taken many classes in beadmaking and jewelry and spent thousands of hours practising at the torch since then but the initial spark is still burning brightly and I'm still having too much fun.

I love making lampwork beads by melting glass in a torch flame, layering colour, sparkle & shine. I also love making jewellery with my lampwork beads and sterling silver. I have been making jewellery since 1998 and lampwork beads since 2002.

Additional policies and FAQs
All of my lampwork beads are handmade by myself in my garden studio, in Brighton, England They are properly kiln annealed directly from the flame to relieve any stress and when cool, cleaned to remove all traces of bead release.

Descriptions etc -. Are as accurate as possible.

All sizes are measured using digital calipers.

All photographs are taken in natural daylight. I do my best to photograph true to life colours but please allow for some variation between what you see on your monitor and what you see in real life.

If you are unhappy on receipt of an item you can return it - please see the returns information above.

Packaging - All products are wrapped and shipped in brand new packaging. I like my customers to receive everything brand new, also re-used packaging is more likely to be damaged during a second shipping. I fully support re-cycling in my home but do not think re-cycled packaging is a suitable way to ship glass lampwork beads or jerwellery.

Beads are packed in tissue paper and bubble wrap and where possible posted in a postage in proportion cardboard box.

Jewellery is packed in a gift box that is perfect for gifting or keeping!
Please let me know in the comments section at checkout if you would like me to include a personalised message.

Smoke and pet free home

Lampwork beads and lampwork jewellery are not suitable for children

I really want my customers to be 100% happy with their purchases and will do my utmost to help.
Should you be unhappy in any way with beads or jewellery you buy form me I urge you to contact me so that I may resolve the matter to your satisfaction.
