Beautiful! Shipped fairly quickly, seems like good quality that will last a while.

This lap desk is perfect for sitting in the easy chair & reading the newspaper or a book, working crosswords, propping up my smart phone, etc. Quality workmanship, and durable goods. I've bought 2 lap desks from this vendor.

I love this desk. I got it for my mom with early Altzeimer's to work her puzzles. She loves it too. Good quality construction and no sharp edges. Kathleen at Oregon Craft Works was so nice too. She custom made this desk and took person interest that the weight would not be too much for my Mom. I really appreciate that. It was a pleasure doing business with her.

About

Musings from my lap desk

I made lap desks in the '90's while working full time as a pediatric physical therapist. I made the desks only at Christmas and sold them at local craft fairs and to friends. Then in 1999, I retired, moved to the island of Dominica for three years and worked at Ross University School of Medicine. Upon my return, I bought a house, inherited the shop equipment in a divorce, and in 2007 started making lap desks full time. Two years ago, inspired by Kat O'Sullivan, I bought a serger and started making clothing. I have help from my partner Paul Casey, and occasionally hire someone to help sew. I also make glass sculptures and facilitate The Artist's Way groups. I love making things, I am a meticulous craftsperson. I also like working on my four websites. Have a blessed day and keep creating!

After retiring from pediatric physical therapy, I began making lap desks full time. Two years ago I bought a serger and started making clothes. I also make glass sculptures and hold glass classes. Yippee I love making stuff.
