Laughing Cabin Designs
The first thing people usually ask me is how Laughing Cabin Designs got its name. Long story short is that I live in an actual cabin that is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in north Georgia. The beauty of the surroundings brings an incredible sense of joy and peace, so naming our home the "Laughing Cabin" seemed to be a good fit. It was only natural to give my creative business the same name.
From 2011 until 2024, I created handmade home decor. I closed Laughing Cabin Designs in May 2024 due to a retinal tear and resulting eye surgeries that limited my vision and my ability to work safely with power saws and other equipment
As of July 2026, I have re-opened Laughing Cabin Designs to include stationery and note card selections that I've personally designed. I am also excited to introduce a new snail mail club that I've created especially for women over fifty called "Letters from the Laughing Cabin."
All stationery and publications are designed, produced, and packaged by me -- right here in my at-home workshop.
Many of my previous followers and customers will be interested to learn that I used the two years during the hiatus to author a book, "It's Your Time for a Comeback: A Call to Women Over Fifty to Return, Rebuild and Rise." It is the inspiration for "Letters from the Laughing Cabin."
I am the writer/editor and publisher of Letters from the Laughing Cabin. You can learn more about it by visiting my website or by viewing the product listing in my Etsy shop. It's a 4-page, full-color print publication full of encouraging and uplifting content that is sent out four times per year -- in October, January, April and July.
