Designer And Maker Of Silver and Turquoise Jewelry

Hi, I’m Laura
I’m an American artisan jeweller, happily settled in the beautiful English countryside with my husband, daughter and Vizsla called Elsa. Working from my Hampshire,UK workshop, a love of bright colour inspires each and every piece in my collections

All my life I have been drawn to the colour and feel of silver and turquoise jewelry. The fine lines, called matrix, in American turquoise, make this beautiful gemstone so distinctive and unique. And the stunning combination of sterling silver and turquoise is subtle, lending itself perfectly to creativity and experimentation. Recently, I have been adding gold accents onto the silver to further highlight certain gemstones such as Native Silver and Carico Lake (Green) Turquoise. The possibilities are endless, giving me immense satisfaction as a jewellery maker.
From pendants, necklaces, bangles and bracelets, to earrings, rings and cufflinks – my passion is to create individual statement pieces that bring joy.

I spend the majority of my time making bespoke commissions. Though in a sense, all my Stone Statement designs are bespoke because two stones are rarely the same. This gives me pleasure as I know that every piece I craft will be different.
I always begin the jewellery-making process by choosing from my extensive stone collection of Sleeping Beauty, Royston and Kingman Turquoise. In addition, I have other select semi-precious gemstones – Sea Blue Larimar, Blue Flash Labradorite, Red Rosarita, Native Silver and White Rainbow Moonstone often feature in my work. Below are some of my favourite pieces.

Anyone who wears one of my handcrafted pieces will be the proud owner of something unique. That is always such an amazing feeling.  These are some of my favourite pieces.
My journey towards becoming a fully-fledged jewellery maker began with studying under some highly experienced master bench jewellers in the US.  It was whilst working with incredible jewellers in the US Southwest in 2016 that I first started learning about the American Turquoise and Variscite mines. I soon realised that these beautiful gemstones come in a vast range of colours with stunning matrix (tiny lines running through them) and I was hooked! It was at that point I decided that my jewellery would only be made using American-mined turquoise as the colour and variation are second to none. I also enhanced my stone collection with other semi-precious gemstones from around the world to appeal to a wider audience.

I repeat my travels to the Southwest each year and study under different jewellers all around New Mexico so that I can source fresh ideas, gemstones and enhance my knowledge to bring my customers beautiful, contemporary designs they will treasure.
