Announcement   Keep an eye out for lots of new items! Show season is over and I will start listing more Needle Felted Sculptures, Locks, and Needle Felting Supplies. I’m planning to get busy making beautiful spinning batts as well.

We LOVE nature and it's bounty. Fiber and Vines are natural partners.
Each offering is made with dedication and love.
The inspiration for the sculptures is the animals, themselves. On occasion, I'll make people, but animals are my passion.
We hope you will enjoy our shop and visit often.
Our goals are to offer you quality, and have happy customers.
We encourage you to offer ideas for things you would like to see here!

About

Family Budget Bursts Under The Weight Of Fiber!

I (forever on, Debra), retired from a long tour as a Registered Nurse. Nursing had become unrecognizable to me. I floundered for several months, and finally resurfaced and decided to become a Needle Felter! Having been a fiber fanatic for years, I had more than my share of fleeces, roving, and yarn!! So, I go on line, and watch a series of free tutorials on how to make a needle felted pony. (Thanks Sara Renzulli !) So, I gather some roving and fence wire, and create my first sculpture. It's an artsy version of one of my horses, Heliodoro, affectionately known as Leo. I'll share a picture with you shortly. My version of Sara's pony, only slightly resembles hers. Mine turned out HUGE! His hooves had to be made enormous to hold up that ginormous body. My wire was not at all appropriate for my Leo. That's where my love affair with Sarafinafiberarts began. I began buying and creating, and buying and creating, until my sculptures were everywhere! Needle Felting began as therapy, and remains therapeutic, but also a passion and love. I hope the people who visit our shop will see and feel the love and passion that goes into my sculptures, from the smallest to the largest.

The idea of selling my creations, came from my husband. He said that if I was going to keep making my sculptures, I needed to let him sell them, because our budget was really taking a hit that it couldn't continue indefinitely. We started with a few Craft Shows last summer. People kept asking if I had an Etsy Shop, or Website. A great friend of mine encouraged me to enter the State Fair of VA. I came away with 7 blue ribbons out of 8 entries. With that confidence boost, customer compliments, and recently commissions from friends and best of all , 2 pieces commissioned by a recipient of one of my sculptures, as a gift! So, I gave my husband, Michael(forever on Boss) the go ahead to open a shop.
We look forward to making friends and happy customers!

Welcome!
We are passionate about what we do. Every aspect is therapeutic and inspiring. We are fortunate to live in the woods, surrounded by the beauty of all things Nature. We also have our horses, dogs, and cats, both for inspiration, and comic relief! Because the materials are natural, every piece is unique. If you would like to request something made especially for you, we'd be happy to accommodate, but keep in mind that it will not be an exact replica, but a lovely likeness.
